Brief

Celebrating World Sushi Day 2024, Michelle, in collaboration with Yutaka, has unveiled a stunning collection of edible portrait sculptures of British celebrities and TV personalities, all made from fresh sushi ingredients.

  • Music icons Elton John and Ed Sheeran

  • Football stars Bukayo Saka and Harry Kane

  • Popular TV personalities Alison Hammond, Dermot O'Leary, and Lorraine Kelly

  • Academy Awards winner Benedict Cumberbatch

Creation

Eight celebrity portrait sculptures, each measuring around 18 cm in height. It took Michelle 120 hours to sculpt these portraits using sushi rice, konbu, seaweed, roe, and soy sauce for colouring. (Excuse the pun):

  • Singer-songwriters: Eelton John and Edamame Sheeran

  • England Footballers: Bukayo Saké and Herring Kane

  • This Morning TV hosts: Alison Salmond and Dermot Roe’Leary

  • British TV host: Lorraine Kelpy, made from dash konbu and fukujinzuke

  • Academy Awards winner actor: Benedict Cucumberbatch
